Bakary Camara, a former staff of Bank PHB was on Monday 14th December 2009 granted bail by the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.
Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke granted him a court bail on the deposition of D900, 000 or the provision of two Gambian sureties, one of whom must be in possession of a landed property of that value within the Greater Banjul Area.
Mr. Camara faces three counts of criminal charges.
According to the particulars of offence, on count one, the accused Bakary Camara between January and February 2009, being an employee of Bank PHB, at Serrekunda branch fraudulently converted the sum of D120, 104. 55 without the consent of the bank and loaned it to one Ebrima Ndow.
On count two, the alleged offence stated that the accused Bakary Camara, between January and February 2009, at Bank PHB, fraudulently took the sum of D164, 048.81 from the said bank without the consent of the bank and loaned it to one Christian Chimi.
While count three stated that, the accused Bakary Camara, between January and February 2009, at Bank PHB converted the sum of D580, 979.57 from the said bank without the consent of the bank and loaned it to one Emeka Orybam.
He denied all charges.
