One Buba Dambelly, a resident of Brikama was recently arraigned before Principal Emmanuel Amadi of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm, a charge he admitted.
According to the facts as narrated by 1st Class Lamin Jammeh, it happened on Friday 4th December 2009, at Brikama.
He narrated that the accused went with the complainant to a shopkeeper where he sold the hens who admitted of buying them from the accused.
He added that the shopkeeper also demanded for a refund of his money, which the accused did.
Officer Jammeh further narrated that on their way from the shop, an argument ensured between the complainant and the accused until there was a rift.
According to him, the accused then pulled out a knife and stabbed the complainant on his back.
The case was adjourned to 18th January 2010 for judgement.
