The Prosecuting Officer, Sgt 1260 Colley, recently informed the Brikama Magistrates' Count, presided over by Magistrate Emmanul Amadi that he has amended the previous charge sheet against the accused Adigai Jarju who was earlier charged with purchasing forged bank notes.
According to him, he now wants to substitute the new charges of being in possession of forged bank note against the accused, Adigai Jarju
According to the particulars of offence, on 27th October 2009, at Brikama in the Western Region, the accused without lawful authority was found in possession of 40 notes of British Pound Sterling, all in 20 Pound denomination with the following serial number, 36 notes with the same serial number EH0860760, 3 notes with the same serial number of EH2049515 and 1notes with serial number EH7897590.
The case was adjourned to 22nd December 2009.
