Yusupha Fadika, Muhammed Lamin Fadika, Muhammed Magasi, Muhammed Jarra and Muhammed Lamin Camara were yesterday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with being in possession of suspected stolen properties and making or having in possession papers or implement for forgery.
They denied the charges and were each granted court bail of D20,000 with a Gambian surety, who must deposit an affidavit of means with the court.
The case was then adjourned till 2 February 2012.
According to the particulars of offence on count one, the accused, on 1 January 2012, at Dippa Kunda, in the Kanifing Municipality, were found with five mobile phones and gold plated jewelries, which were suspected to have been stolen by them.
Count two stated that on the same date and at the same place, they were found with papers cut into currency sizes for the purpose of forgery and thereby committed an offence.
