A spectacular football clash between female artistes and female media presenters in the country was Saturday won by the artistes at the Father Gough Sport Complex in Manjai.
The artistes grabbed the trophy at the expense of the presenters through a penalty shootout.
The fund-raising game was interestingly competed by both teams but none was able to secure an outright victory during regulation time.
At the end of the full time of play, a penalty shootout was awarded to both teams but it was the artistes who emerged victorious by a lone goal difference.
The winners went home with a giant trophy while the runners-up were also given a cup of consolation to return with to their newsroom and continue to do what they know best.
The game was witnessed by the chairman of the GFA normalization Committee, Alh. O. B. Conateh, former Speaker of the National Assembly, Madam Elizabeth Renner, Max Jallow, Lamin Cham and other personalities.
