The public relations officer of BAC, Modou Jonga, disclosed that the presentation of the D20,000 formed part of their annual financial subvention to the GADHOH regional branch.

According to him, they decided to increase subvention to GADHOH this year from D15, 000 to D20, 000.

Modou Jonga spoke at length of the long standing ties between BAC and GADHOH regional office in West Coast Region.

He expressed hope that the donated amount will complement the efforts of the beneficiary to empower its members.

In receiving the cheque, Karamo Sanneh, Regional Branch manager of GADHOH, said the subvention would greatly assist his branch in carrying out its development activities in the region and facilitate the running of a nursery school for deaf and hard of hearing children.

The money will be put into good use, he assured BAC, adding that part of the funds will also be used to conduct sign language literacy training for members of the association.
