A
fatal accident that occurred between Illiyasa and Alkali Kunda villages in the
Upper Badibou District, North Bank Region has claimed the lives of four people.
Two others have also been reported to be in the hospital, The Point has been
reliably informed.
A
source that spoke to our reporter on the condition of anonymity said the
‘Set-place’ vehicle which was coming from Barra hit a packing truck that had a
breakdown on the roadside.
“We
believe the driver of the vehicle was sleeping. The driver hit the tyre of the
truck that had a breakdown and was packing along the roadside which eventually
led to him lose control of the vehicle and somersaulted.”
Four
of the passengers, our source added, died on the spot, while the two others
including the driver sustained some injuries and were referred to Farafenni
General Hospital for medical attention.
