Ecomong FC on Saturday beat Holy Trinity 1-0 in the ongoing Sifoe Noran football championship organized by the Sports Committee in memory of the former chairperson of Kombo South District Sports Committee, late Lamin Janneh, which is currently under way at the Sifoe football field.

Striker Dominic Demba scored the only goal for Ecomong FC in the game to snatch the vital three points improving their chances of qualifying for the next round.

The defeat dashed Holy Trinity’s hopes of making it to the next round in the championship.

In other scores, Saranbell FC hammered Old Hands 5-0 to secure the vital three points, and revived their hopes for a place in the next round.

Old Hands now must win their remaining group games, in order to stand a better chance of reaching the next round.
