One Modou Lamin Kebbeh recently continued his defence testimony in obtaining money by false pretence and conspiracy case involving him and others at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Ibrahim Kijera.

The accused told the court that he was never informed by the police as to what offence he had committed, adding that he was escorted to the Kanifing Police Station where he was asked to write his statement.

“I heard the evidence of the prosecution witnesses but none of them alleged to me any wrongdoing,” he said, adding that the complainant, PW1, Ali, an Indian, had never mentioned his name in his evidence because he had nothing to do with him.

He said nothing was found on him by the CID officers who went to his house and conducted a search, as well as that of Ali, who was not found in his house.

“I know nothing about the allegation surrounding me. The 1st accused, Alieu Jobe, never visited me; it was only the 2nd accused, Yaya Jobe, who knew my home and did visit me,” he added.

The accused told the court that he was never told the offence he had committed and had no dealing with PW1, Ali the Indian national.

“If I am involved, he would have mentioned my name in his evidence in chief. I know nothing about this case,” he said.
