Speaking at the presentation of the items, Sulayman Saine, the donor said “this is part of his contribution to the needy,” adding that as a citizen of this country he would do his part. “I will continue donating as long as I am in the country.”
Saine, who said it is the first of its kind, noted that the government cannot do it all. “So, we should also complement government’s efforts in all areas.” He further thanked Abel Igbe, the National Director of Care givers hospice-The Gambia.
In receiving the items, on behalf of his organisation, Abel Igbe, the National Director of Care givers hospice-The Gambia, thanked Sulayman Saine for the donation.
“I hope these items will be put into good use,” he said, while calling on other philanthropists to emulate him.
