A driver was recently arraigned before Magistrate Edward Singhateh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, charged with careless driving.
Nfally Barrow, a resident of Yarambaba Village, pleaded not guilty of the charge and was subsequently granted court bail of D10,000 with a Gambian surety.
According to the charge sheet, on 30 May 2011, along Yarambaba Highway, the defendant, Nfally Barrow, drove a motor vehicle with registration number WD 3252D, a Toyota pickup, without due care and attention, thereby caused an accident.
Hearing continues on 22 June 2011.
