The Brikama Magistrates' Court recently delivered judgment in a case of careless driving involving one Jone Sambou.
In his judgment, magistrate Abeke stated that the convict, Jone Sambou, was brought before the court and charged with careless driving, to which he pleaded not guilty.
He said the prosecution called two witnesses in support of their case while the defendant testified on his own.
The trial magistrate further stated that after evaluating the evidence of the prosecution witnesses and that of the defendant, the court found that the prosecution had proven their case beyond reasonable doubts.
He therefore found the defendant guilty of the offence, and adjourned the case until 4 May 2011 for sentence.
