As part of their preparations for the 2009/2010 Nawettan league championship tournament, Brikama youth and sports association Nawettan qualifiers will commence any moment from now, Pointsports can reveal.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Pointsports the president of Brikama youth and sports association (BYSA), Lamin King Colley, said that preparations are underway for this year's nawettan qualifiers and at the moment teams have started paying their registrations fees for the qualifiers and are hoping to stage the tournament as soon as possible.
He stated that BYSA would do its best to develop and promote sports in Brikama and its surrounding areas. He expressed optimism that the tournament will be free and fair and efforts will be put in place to make the tournament void from trouble.
King Colley further stated that BYSA is also embarking on construction exercise at the Brikama Mini Stadium and stated that BYSA is ready to improve the Canal Multipurpose Centre.
He commended Brikama United FC for their brilliant performance in the just ended GFA first division league, and urged them to keep up the challenge.
