Dortmund FC on Saturday defeated Plumbi FC 2-0 in the ongoing Banjul Nawettan at Gambia Senior Secondary school field.
The game was opened with high spirit by both teams and later Dortmund FC started dominating the match, creating some wonderful chances but were denied by the concrete defence of Plumbi FC until Dortmund striker Sheriff opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the game and giving his side the lead.
This goal made Plumbi FC more eager to score so as to level the scores, but they tried in vein and so the first half ended 1
In the opening of the second half, Plumbi FC started putting a lot of pressure on their opponents until Sheriff again from a one and one, scored a brilliant shot in the 78th minute which shattered Plumbi FC hopes of coming back in the game.
But suddenly they started creating some goal opportunities but failed to capitalize on their chances, and so the game ended 2-0 in favour of Dortmund FC. On Saturday also Young Lions of Kanifing Estate played against LK Demba and drew 1-1,whilst Green House humiliated Elminite by 4-0 .
