Dodou Kassama was named the winner of Tuesday’s 2010 Professional Golf Competition held at the Fajara Golf Course by the Gambia Golf Association.
The competition, in which the two teams clashed on 26 October this year, was sponsored by Ebrima Jawara, president of the Gambia Golf Association.
Dodou Kassama emerged winner of the competition with a medal score of 71, two over par in eighteen holes after recording a total of three bodges, one birdie and fourteen par. Dodou went home with a cash prize of D500.
Yusupha Tamba took second position with a medal score of 72, three over par in eighteen holes, just a stroke behind Dodou Kassama, after recording a terrific score of one under par on his back nine and four over par on the first nine of his score card.
Yusupha Tamba received a cash prize of D300.
Bakary Touray took third position with a medal score of 73, four over par in eighteen holes after registering a total of four birdies, five bodges, one double bodges and nine par. Bakary Touray received a consolation prize of D200.
Gibou Jallow took fourth position with a medal score of 74, five over par in eighteen holes with six bodges, one birdes and eleven par.
Alagie Drammeh took fifth position with a medal score of 75, six over par in eighteen holes.
Tijan Kuyateh took sixth position with a medal score of 78, nine over par in eighteen holes while Pa Famara J. J. Jatta finished seventh position with a medal score of 79, ten over par in eighteen holes.
In the amateur category, Omar Jadama took first position with a stableford score of 37 points while Mark Goddard took second position with a stableford score of 31 points.
