The donated items included 250 exercise books, 500 pencils, 400 colors, 3 calculators, and 200 reading books.

Tenza was in The Gambia for the 5th Annual Music and Cultural Festival, the Briks-Tone Fiesta, organised by the Badinyaa One Family Promotions Production in Brikama, Gambia and the Stand Tall Promotions in Glasgow, Scotland.

Presenting the items, Jahseen Foster, AKA Tenza DI Boss Lady, the Chief Executive Officer of the Di Boss Lady Charity, said the aim of her charity was to uplift grassroots education in the country.

She noted that helping the grassroots community was part of her greatest ambition, adding that transforming the school’s education into a modern one was key in her charity’s determination.

‘’Presentingthese items is a dream comes true to me and the entire charity, as I shared the same common interest with the Gambian people,’’ she said.

She further stated that education which is key to success is paramount and should be inculcated in the minds of the people, especially the young ones.

Mr Ousman Touray, Head teacher of the school, in receiving the items, thanked the Di Boss lady Charity for the gesture, noting that the Charity was indeed a genuine partner.

“The partnership between the school and the Charity will move from strength to strength because they have a lot of good intention for the school and we will continue guiding it,’’ he said.

Sulayman M. Sanyang, CEO of Badinyaa One Family Promotions, urged the beneficiaries to put the items into good use, while appealing to them to work in partnership with their counterparts in promoting the welfare of both.

Richard Cephus, Tenza’s Manager, who also doubles as the Public Relations Director to the charity, said he was overwhelmed with the reception accorded them by the school kids.

According to him, the Charity was out to promote the welfare of the young people going to school and they would do all their best to uplift the betterment of the school.

Alieu Darboe, National Coordinator of Badinyaa, in a brief statement, told the gathering that both Badinyaa and the Charity shared the same common interests since they are all working towards the advancement of Brikama.

Isatou Janneh, Chairperson of the Tenza Fans Club The Gambia and Lamin Darboe, a native of Brikama, both described the donation as worthy, calling on the beneficiaries to make good use of the items donated.
