Covid-19 pandemic: Kangkilling Kafoo supports Essau District Hospital

Essau Kangkilling Kafoo in the Kombos under the leadership of Fatoumatta-Ndingo Jammeh and Metta Sirreh Njai, last Friday donated preventive materials to Essau District Hospital in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Handing over the materials, Fatoumatta-Ndingo Jammeh said Essau is where they belong and they made no mistake in contributing their quota towards the fight against coronavirus. She advised the management of the hospital to make best use of the materials.

Sirreh Conteh, officer-in-charge of the hospital, thanked the Kaffo and Essau community for the right move at the right time, promising them that the materials will serve the intended purpose.

Essau VDC in collaboration with the hospital and Red Cross are expected to embark on community sensitisation to curb the spread of the pandemic.

In a separate development, Lower Nuimi parliamentarian, Mahtarr M. Jeng and Niumi Cafe also donated similar materials to various strategic places in the awake of the global pandemic.

Essau Village Development Committee vice chairman, Yankuba Marong, Alkalo Lang Njai, Councilor Kebba Jallow, National Assembly Member for Lower Nuimi Constituency Mahtarr M. Jeng and chief Fabakary Nana Sonko all thanked donors for the good initiative in this trying moment.
