Court hears criminal trespass, willful damage to property case

The Brikama Magistrates’ Court on 4 June 2012 heard the case of criminal trespass and willful damage to property brought against one Hagi Muhammed Tunkara.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, on 3 April 2012, at Tujereng Village, in Kombo South District of the West Coast Region, the accused, Hagi Muhammed Tunkara, entered into the land of Manor Properties Ltd with intent to commit a felony.

Count two read that on the same day and at the same place, the accused willfully and unlawfully damaged the property of Manor Properties Company Ltd valued at D18, 200.

The accused denied the charges and was granted court bail of D20, 000 with two Gambian sureties who must swear to an affidavit of means and deposit their valid ID cards

The case was adjourned till 18 June 2012.
