Commercial Driver Denies Murder Charge

One Sulayman Bah, a commercial driver recently denied a murder charge preferred against him when he was arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Principal Magistrate Mahoney.
Mr. Bah was charged with the offence of "rash and negligence act causing death".
According to the particulars of the offence, the accused Sulayman Bah on 3rd May 2009, along the Brikama highway, drove a motor vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and as a result knocked one Sulayman Mballow thereby causing the latter's death.
Meanwhile, the accused was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned for further hearing.
