The cocktail reception was graced by senior government officials, representatives of non-governmental organisations, and the private sector, as well as the media and was held at the Coco Ocean Resort and Spa in Bijilo.
Speaking to journalists at the programme, Dr Marina Novew, a delegate and also a principal lecturer in Tourism Development, University of Brighton, UK, thanked the American Ambassador and the management of the hotel for organising the party, noting that this has increase their partnership with the Gambian people.
Dr Novew dilated on the importance of the ATA Congress, which she said has brought a positive change for The Gambia. She, therefore, thanked the government and the people of The Gambia for their hospitality.
