Charles Fowlis Senior Secondary School holds graduation

Charles Fowlis Senior Secondary School recently held its annual graduation and pass outing ceremony, at the school's ground in Kanifing.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Principal of the school, Ms Elezabeth Bets said that the school had enrolled 687 students, including 320 boys and 358 girls.

She stated that in pursuit of providing good education for its students, the Board of Directors continue to work in close collaboration with the proprietors of the school in recruiting good teachers and constantly improving on the present infrastructure of the school.

According to her, the motto of the institution "knowledge is power" is a constant reminder to its students that knowledge by far supersedes all other world acquisitions. She added that the Board of Directors and the administration is fully committed in the provision of conducive learning environment and quality teaching standards.

"Drink deep from the well of knowledge in order to satisfy your thirst and this implies that you have to seek more knowledge and tap all avenues for continuous educational pursuits, such as moving on to university, teacher training, technical training, nursing and other learning institutions," Mrs. Bets advised the students.

For his part, the Guest Speaker at the occasion, Rev. Bannie Manga, advised the graduants to keep up the momentum.
