As farmers in the country are preparing for the rainy season, Saint Joseph Family Farm Centre (SJFFC) recently distributed farming inputs to farm groups in the Western Region.
The input which included 57 bags of NPK fertiliser, seeds, chemical pesticide, among others, worth D110, 600 (One Hundred and ten thousand six hundred Dalasi), supported by Concern Universal, through life threat project and implemented by the Saint Joseph Family Centre (SJFFC).
Speaking to the beneficiary groups, the extension supervisor at Saint Joseph Family Farm Centre (SJFFC), Pierre Gomez underscored the importance of helping farmers in the country.
According to him, the donation was meant to empower farm groups within Western Region to enable them have access to necessary farming inputs for agricultural production.
He applauded The Gambia government for creating the enabling environment for NGOs and CBOs, to contribute their quota to the attainment of food sufficient in the country.
