Case of disobedience adjourned

The case of disobedience to lawful order involving Assan Sarjo, Modou Lamin Badjie, Mustapha Jatta, Amadou Jammeh, Amadou Sarjo, Ebrima Colley and Anness Manjaim was on Wednesday adjourned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

When the case was announced, the trial magistrate told the court that on the last adjournment date, the court made an order for the arrest of the 6th accused person, Ebrima Colley, and enquired whether the order had been carried out.

In response, the prosecuting officer said he intended to carry out the order, but when he went to arrest the accused person, he found that the accused was admitted at the RVTH.

He produced the medical certificate of the accused person, which was later tendered in court.

Concerning Modou Lamin Badjie, the court was informed that he was seeking medical treatment in Casamance and would be available on the next adjourned date.

The case was then adjourned till 21 December 2011.
