A man called Sulayman Nyassi was Monday arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court and charged with being in possession of prohibited drug.
The particulars of offence read that on 5 June 2012, at Tanji Village, in the West Coast Region, the accused, Sulayman Nyassi, was found in possession of 140grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D300, 000 with two Gambian sureties within the jurisdiction, who must deposit their valid ID cards, as well as swear to an affidavit of means.
Hearing was adjourned till 17 December 2012.
