Cameroon have completed a brace over The Gambia in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Indomitable Lions thumped the Scorpions 2-0 in the second-leg tie played at the Omni Sports Stadium in Limbe on Saturday to complete a double over their Gambian counterparts in the continent’s biggest football fiesta qualifiers.

Cameroon beat The Gambia 1-0 in the first leg in Banjul last year prior to their Saturday’s resounding 2-0 win in the second leg at the weekend, courtesy of striker Vincent Abubakarr in the second half.

Cameroon opened the scores through striker Benjamin Moukandjo from penalty spot in the first half before Clinto Njie sealed victory in the second half.

The victory has earned Cameroon 14 points in six games after winning four games and drawing two. They are also through to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Indomitable Lions finished unbeaten in group M of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Gambia finished bottom place in group M of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after bagging only 2 points in six games, drawing two and losing four.
