Brikama United Road to CAF Confederation Cup fund-raising campaign launched

Brikama Sports Committee on Saturday launched Brikama United Road to the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup fund-raising campaign at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

The fund-raising campaign is meant to raise enough funds for Brikama United’s participation in the continent’s second tier football club competition.

Brikama Sports Committee are soliciting support from the natives of West Coast Region, donors, philanthropists companies and individuals to come to the aid of Brikama United for them to participate well in the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup competition.

Brikama United are set to represent The Gambia in the 2017CAF Confederation Cup competition after clinching the 2016 Gambia Football Federation FF Cup competition following their 1-0 win over rivals Bombada in the final game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on 5 June 2016.

Striker Sainey Bojang, aka powerful, scored the only goal for Brikama United in the game to earn the Sateyba boys a place in the continent’s second tier football clubs competition next year.
