One Omar Danso, a businessman was the latest prosecution witness to testify in the criminal case of wilful damage to property involving one Ebrima Njie, at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.
Testifying before the court, Mr. Danso told the court that he recognised the accused and could also recall on 29th July 2009.
According to him, on that fateful day at around 1.30am he was on his way home when he met the accused standing in a junction pretending that he was picking something on the ground.
He further adduced that, when he got into his compound he was still monitoring the accused who later picked up something on the ground and threw it onto the windscreen of a vehicle, with a registration number KM 3166B.
He said when the accused saw him he started to run, but with the assistance of the crowd he was apprehended and taken to Serekunda Police Station.
The case continues.
