Cote D'Ivoire's native and French Ligue 1 Arles-Avignon defender Bakary Soro, is being courted by Burkina Faso sports officials to get him enrolled for the Stallions, Cote D'Ivoire's sports site Sport Ivoire said on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old has played for Cote D'Ivoire's junior team but has not been called up to join the Elephants, which he has not really appreciated, prompting his flexibility to the Burkina Faso's switch, according to reports.
Soro was reported to have joined the regrouping of the Stallions in France early this month before their opening group F clash with The Gambia next month.
He was groomed at the famous Abidjan football academy - Mimosifcom, where the likes of Kolo and Yaya Touré, and Salomon Kalou learnt the game.
The Burkina Faso will also meet Namibia later in the AFCON qualifiers.
