Principal Magistrate Abeke of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Karamo Jammeh alias Kammas, to a fine of D3,000 in default to serve six months in prison upon his own plea of guilty of shop-breaking and stealing.
According to the particulars of offence on count one, on 14 April 2011 at Brikama Market, Karamo Jammeh broke into the shop of one Sanusi Jallow with intent to commit a felony to wit stealing.
The charge sheet on count two read that on the same date and place, he stole the following: 130 mobile batteries valued at D6,500, eight memory cards with 2g valued at D1,400, 3g memory cards valued at D450, and ten mobile chargers valued at D250, all being the properties of the said Sanusi Jallow.
