Mr. Buba Sagnia, alias Zil, Deputy Director General of the Gambia Immigration Department has been appointed as Acting Director General of Immigration with effect from Monday 7th November 2009.
He replaces Mr. Sakou Drammeh who has been relieved of his post.
Speaking in a brief interview with this paper yesterday, Mr Sagnia said that he needs the support and cooperation of all the officers to move the department forward.
He stated that it is part of his plans to make the Gambia Immigration Department as one of the best in the Sub- region.
He advised the officers to always serve as good ambassadors in the execution of their duties.
