The
Brufut Senior Secondary School project currently undergoing finishing touches
would be inaugurated in September.
The
D25million school project was funded by donors from Holland to introduce a
senior secondary school for the benefit of the community of Brufut and
satellite villages.
This
was revealed by the principal of Brufut Upper and Senior Secondary School,
Muhammed F. Jabbi, in an interview with The Point Newspaper on Wednesday.
According
to Mr Jabbi, when completed, the new building will have 18 fully tiled
classrooms, six well furnished offices and 24 flush toilets.
He
thanked their sponsors from Holland, Gamcel and NAWEC, SMC chairperson, parents
and teachers of the school.
Mr
Jabbi used the opportunity to congratulate Dominic Arthur for bagging the best
result in the country.
For
his part, the chairman of the PTA, Fabou Bojang, hailed Mr Jabbi for his good
work and commitment to the welfare of the people of Brufut.
Omar
Manneh, the bursar of the Brufut SSS emphasized that the school will be very
useful to the community living around the areas of Brufut as they will be able
to enroll their children a good senior secondary school.
