J-fin Money Transfer, a local Money Gram branch in The Gambia on Monday 7th December 2009 donated two hundred T-shirts to the Brufut Marathon Run Association as part of their contributions towards the successful staging of the 15th edition of the Brufut annual race, slated for 12th December 2009, in Brufut.
In handing over the items to Ba S Jabbi, the Chairman of BMRA, Besenty Gomez, on behalf of J-Fin told the members of BMRA present that it was part of their corporate social responsibility to help the community in which they operate. "We feel proud to give you the T-shirts to assist you organise the run successfully and we know we will derive satisfaction from the fact that people who get these T-shirts will be happy," he concluded.
Ba S Jabbi, on behalf the BMRA thanked the donors for their magnanimity and their sense of sharing with the community of Brufut. He informed the gathering that J-fin is the first local organisation in Brufut to come to the aid of the Brufut Run since its inception. He urged everybody in Brufut and those of Brufut origin in the Diaspora to patronise J-fin money transfer, as according to him, some of the money will come back to them in the form of such interventions as in the case of the event.
He finally informed the benefactors that the items would be used for its rightful purpose.
Present at the handing over ceremony were Mary Joof, Chief Medical Officer, Ousman Saano Chief Organiser, Modou Jarju, organiser all of BMRA, and a cross section of the community of Brufut .
