The
2016 Gambia Football Federation FF Cup champions on Friday were held to a
goalless draw by Senegalese premier league side Jaraaf in an international game
played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
The
international friendly match against Jaraaf was part of Brikama United’s
preparations for the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup and the 2016-2017 domestic
league season set to start next month with Super Cup final against league
champions Gambia Ports Authority.
The
international friendly match was also organised to raise enough funds for
Brikama United’s participation in the continent’s second tier football club
competition.
The
international friendly was part of Jaraaf’s preparations for the 2016-2017
Senegalese domestic league season set to kick off later this year.
