Brikama United beat second tier side PSV 1-0 in the semifinal prior to their final clash with Bombada, who beat former FF Cup holders Wallidan on the same score line in the semifinal.
Bombada dominated the first half and came very close to opening the scores on separate occasions, but squandered all their limited goal-scoring opportunities.
Brikama United, who were unable to establish themselves in the first half, were also unable to penetrate Bombada’s solid defence thus the first half ended goalless.
Upon resumption of the game, Brikama United, who were struggling to establish themselves in the first half, regrouped themselves and dominated Bombada in the midfield, opened the scores through substitute striker Sainey Bojang in the 56th minute of the game from an excellent strike to earn Brikama United the GFF FF Cup title at the expense of Bombada.
