The Western Region giants Brikama United FC have started training as part of their preparations for the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) Division One league at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Pointsport on Tuesday at their training ground, the Head Coach of Brikama United FC, Lang Kah, said his team commenced serious training a few weeks ago and they are set to prepare mentally and morally ahead of the championship which is expected to kick start in January.
He pointed out that the side technical team will do all efforts to bring glorious results to their fans as the previous year.
"Brikama United will play series of test matches before the kick-off in order to go one step better than last year when the championship get underway next month," the Western Region Coach pointed out.
Lang Kah further used the platform to call on the people of Brikama to give support to the team so that they can endeavour to live up to expectations when the new league starts.
The GFA fixture for the forthcoming season which was released a fortnight ago has been shifted to January after the pre-season meeting last weekend.
