Despite his side's poor run of form in the Gambia Football Association (GFA) First Division League, the newly appointed Head Coach of the Western Region giant Brikama United, Essa Sambou, is still optimistic that Brikama will stay in the country's top flight football at the end of the season.

Coach Sambou made this remark in an exclusive interview with Pointsport. This is shortly after his side's 1-1 draw with the Blue boys Wallidan in the Week Eight fixtures.

He pointed out that Brikama had created numerous scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on their chances.

According to Coach Sambou, they would go back to the drawing board and improve their striking force. Sambou further expressed optimism that Brikama will beat Seaview in their Week Nine fixtures on Sunday 7th March 2010, at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.

He assured his fans that Brikama United would bounce back to their winning form as the league matches progress.
