Boost for NISA

Akram Sour, the Proprietor of No.1 Sports Shop last Friday 12th March 2010 presented two giant trophies with two footballs to the National Inter-Department Sports Association (NISA), at a colourful ceremony held at No.1 Sports Shop head office along the Kairaba Avenue.

 Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Akram expressed his readiness to support NISA anytime they knock on his doors, adding that he is open to support all forms of sporting event in the country.

He also appealed to other sports like volleyball, basketball and other forms of sports to also come up with tournaments like NISA, adding that NISA is growing, as compared to the previous years.

Akram also thanked President Yahya Jammeh for his support to the development of sports in the country.

According to him, one of the trophies is for the super cup, while the other is his personal donation on behalf of the President of The Gambia for the most disciplined team.

Saihou B. Jarju, the Secretary-General of the National Inter-Department Sports Association (NISA) thanked Mr. Akram on behalf of NISA for his support.

He further revealed that they also want to introduce other sporting events in the tournament, but noted that they are constrained by the lack of finance.

Pa Modou Faal, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for NISA, who also spoke said the tournament is meant to bring the workforce, companies together as one.
