The
key players of Bombada FC have continued to boycott training sessions after the
team’s woeful start to the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic
division one league season.
The
Brikama-based outfit are occupying bottom place in the top flight with zero
point after losing their seven league matches and are also yet to snatch a win
and goals since the start of the league campaign in November 2016.
Trio
Ousman Manka alias Maldini, Omar Nyandou and Mustapha Njie have all boycotted
the team’s training sessions in recent days; no reason have been given for
their absence from the training sessions.
Manka,
Nayandou and Njie guided Bombada FC to the country’s top flight in the
2013-2014 season and aided them to stay at the top for the past two seasons.
Lamin
Anthony Ceesay, head coach of Bombada FC, is optimistic that his team will
recover in their upcoming league matches to move away from relegation zone
despite his side’s poor start to their 2016-2017 domestic division one league
campaign.
