Bollore Africa Logistics Group CEO, Mr Dominique Lafont, visits The Gambia

The Chief Executive Officer of Bollore Africa Logistics Ltd. Mr Dominique Lafont arrives in The Gambia today 7th November 2013, for a day’s visit.

Dominique Lafont is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP ), ESSEC and holds a degree in Business Law.

As a specialist in emerging markets, Mr Lafont oversees infrastructure activities within the Bolloré group and directs the activities of the Ports and Logistics in emerging countries ( 56 countries ) mainly in Africa.

The group is present in almost all countries of the African continent, with 25,000 employees in Africa and an average annual sales of 2.5 billion euros per year .

Bolloré Africa Logistics is the leading integrated logistics network on the African continent and the leading operator of public-private partnerships in the international logistics sector(port , railway , supply-chain , airport –warehousing –transport … ).With its unrivalled territorial coverage in the continent, Bolloré Africa Logistics is today the specialistin customized industrial projects and invests about €300 million each year , notably in the infrastructures that are vital to the continent’s development.

In what is described asa major milestone in the history of Bollore Africa Logistics Gambia Ltd. (formally Gambia Shipping Agencies Ltd.), the Country Manager, Mr Halifa Nyang expresses delight in welcoming Mr Lafont and his delegation, and is confident that this visit will create a lot of opportunities for more projects in The Gambia.

Mr Lafont is scheduled to meet the President, His Exellency Sheikh Professor Doctor Alhagie Yaya A.J.J.Jammeh,and the management of The Gambia Ports Authority during his visit.
