Brikama commence training for Super Nawettan

Brikama have started training for the 2019 Africell-sponsored Super Nawettan competition, at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

The Sateyba boys were runners-up in the 2018 edition after losing to Serrekunda East on penalties in the final, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

They will prepare themselves ready to replicate the same performance to increase their chances of reaching this year’s final.

Brikama won super nawettan competition once in their history in 2012 after defeating Bakau 3-2 in a controversial final, played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The Sateyba boys slipped to Serrekunda West 1-0 in the 2013 super nawettan final, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau before losing to Serrekunda East on penalties in the 2018 final at the same venue.

The country’s most celebrated community biggest football fiesta is set to start on 1 November, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
