Following an intense speculation surrounding payment of unpaid salaries to the players of Steve Biko FC, a senior officer of the club in the name of Kemo Ceesay who also doubles as the accountant of the GFA, recently quelled the speculations surrounding the issue of payment to the club's players.
Mr. Ceesay clears the dust in an interview with Pointsports, recently in his office at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
He added that the only time that the club defaulted was during the FA Cup championship last season, noting that the arrears were later paid .He further went on to explain that the reason for twinning Biko FC and Seaview FC last year was to create enough opportunities for the players.
For his part, head coach of Biko FC, Abdoulie Bojang, described the rumour as totally false. Biko FC recently established itself as one of the leading exporters of Gambian talents. Some of the talents exported are Mustafa Jarju, Habib Kunta, Demba Sanyang, and Ousman Colley.
