Banutu Business College yesterday kick-started a three-day training workshop on effective leadership and management for productive results in The Gambia, at the school complex in Lamin village.

The training, which brought together participants from various institutions such as the NIA and GPA, is not the first of its kind.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Maurice Mendy, director of Banutu Business College, expressed the school’s delight in organising the training.

He said the training workshop brought together participants to discuss modalities of improving leadership and management qualities in their various institutions.

Mr Mendy also said the strategy highlighted, among other things, the need to improve the management of their institution through the introduction of leadership.

Leadership is a management tool designed to facilitate expedition’s achievement of goals and objectives, he said:

Banutu Business College is here to put its quota to the national development of this country; in short we must similarly put in place mechanisms that will speed up the pace for sustainable service delivery and development of our country.”
