Banjul United are hunting to beat Brikama United in their week-eighteen fixtures today 29 April 2016, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium, to move away from relegation zone in the 2015-2016 Gambia Football Federation division one league.
The Banjul-based outfit are struggling second place from bottom in the league with 14 points in seventeen league matches, and are desperate to beat Brikama United to move away from the danger zone.
The Brikama-based outfit are second spot with 32 points in seventeen league matches and will sit nor stand till they defeat Banjul to close gap on league leaders Gambia Ports Authority as well as keep their hopes of winning the league and the FF Cup, after thrashing Tallinding 3-0 in the quarterfinal to advance to the semifinal against second tier side PSV Wellingara.
Bombada will host Wallidan at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium. The Brikama-based outfit are two places above safety with 17 points in seventeen league matches, and will be keen to thump Wallidan to improve their position in the league.
The Blue boys are one place above relegation zone with 15 points in seventeen league matches, and will have to push hard to smash Bombada to improve their position in the league.
Elsewhere, Steve Biko will meet Gambia Armed Forces at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on the same day.
The Bakau giant killers and the soldiers are both mid-table, and will try to knock each other to snatch good position in the league.
On Saturday 30 April 2016, Real De Banjul will rub shoulders with Hawks in the all-Banjul derby at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
The city-boys and red devils are both competing for the league crown and will fight to beat each other to fancy their dreams of clinching the league title.
Real De Banjul are with 28 points in seventeen league matches and Hawks with 24 points in seventeen league matches.
Samger will play against Gambia Ports Authority at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium. The Academy boys are three places above safety, and will vie to beat Gambia Ports Authority to increase their chances of staying in the top flight for another season and avoid relegation to the second tier.
The ferry boys are currently topping the league with 36 points in seventeen league matches. They will be hunting to punch Samger to rejuvenate their lead in the summit.
Elsewhere, relegation threatened Serrekunda United will take on league champions Gamtel at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.
The telecommunication giants are mid-table with 23 points in seventeen league matches, and will stand firm to defeat Serrekunda United to mount pressure on league leaders Gambia Ports Authority.
The Serrekunda-based outfit are rooted at the bottom in the league with 13 points in seventeen league matches, and will strive hard to beat Gamtel to move away from the danger zone.
