Banjul United commit to recover against Gamtel in GFF 1st Division

Banjul United are targeting to bounce back against reigning league champions Gamtel in the 2015-2016 First-Eco Partners sponsored Gambia Football Federation domestic division league when they clash with the telecommunication giants in the week-eight fixtures tomorrow, Saturday 30 January 2016, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium,

In their previous fixtures they slipped to Real De Banjul and Gambia Ports Authority.

The Banjul-based outfit were able to grab 6 points in seven league matches with one victory, three draws and three defeats. They hope to beat Gamtel in order to recover after two lost games against Real De Banjul and current league leaders Gambia Ports Authority.

The telecommunication giants are six points behind league leaders Gambia Ports Authority with 9 points in seven league matches. They will be harassing to belt Banjul United to close the gap on league leaders as well as keeping their chances of retaining their 2014-2015 league crown.

Gambia Armed Forces will meet Bombada at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

The Soldiers are six points behind league leaders Gambia Ports Authority with 9 points in seven league matches. They are to bounce back in contention for the league title after losing two games in a row against Wallidan and Brikama United.

The Brikama-based outfit are deteriorating second place from bottom in the top tier with only 5 points in seven league matches. They however look forward to defeating the Soldiers in order to move away from the danger zone and grab good position in the league.

Elsewhere, Wallidan will host Brikama United in the other week-seven fixtures at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.

The Blue boys and Sateyba boys are among the teams competing for the league title with 11 points each in seven league matches four points behind run away league leaders Gambia Ports Authority, who have bagged 15 points in seven league matches.

Wallidan and Brikama United will be approaching to beat each other to grab the vital three points to keep pressure on league leaders Gambia Ports Authority and also maintain their league title ambition alive.

On Sunday 31 January 2016, Gambia Ports Authority will welcome Steve Biko at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

The ferry boys are presently topping the top tier standings with 15 points in seven league matches and four points clear ahead of Samger, Wallidan, Brikama United and Steve Biko.

They will be challenging to thump Bakau giant killers in order to rejuvenate their lead in the league.

The Bakau giant killers are one of the teams contending for the league title with 11 points in seven games, and will be fighting to beat Gambia Ports Authority to close the gap to just one point.

Serrekunda United will take on Hawks at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Serrekunda United and Hawks are currently struggling in the top flight, and are prepared to beat each other to secure goop position in the league and also move away from relegation zone.

Hawks are with 5 points in seven league matches, while Serrekunda United are with only 3 points in seven league matches.

Elsewhere, Real De Banjul will rub shoulders Samger in the other week eight fixtures at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on the same day.

The City boys and Academy boys are among are the teams competing for the league, and are eager to thrash each other to fancy their league hopes alive.

Samger are with 11 points in seven league matches, while Real De Banjul are with 9 points in seven matches.
