As part of its training seminar in The Gambia, organised by the First Management Training and Consultancy Services of Nigeria, Principals from Nigerian Lagos States on Wednesday 24th April 2013 donated books to Bakau New Town Lower Basic School.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the school’s ground in Bakau, Bolong L. Sonko, the Country Representative of First Management Training and Consultancy Services, said his firm was delighted to be associated with Bakau Lower Basic School.
While stating that Nigeria has a long-standing cooperation with The Gambia, he expressed hope that the books would prove useful to the school in their quest for quality education.
The Course Coordinator, Mr. Rotimi of First Consultant Training thanked the School Headmistress, Ms. Haddy S. Njie and the Ministry of Lower Basic Education for the opportunity.
Fatou D. Bittaye, also from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, thanked the donors for their laudable gesture, and urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the donated items.
Haddy .S Njie, the Headmistress of the school, thanked the donors for the laudable gesture, adding that the donated items would be properly utilised.
Other speakers included Oluwarotini Diadopo, who on behalf of the course participants, expressed delight at the gesture.
He praised the Headmistress Haddy .S Njie for the warm welcome accorded them, as he urged her and the staff to continue the good work.
