Badinyaa
One Family Association on Friday celebrated its 8th anniversary at a ceremony
held at Brikama Health Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Alieu Darbo, national coordinator of the association, said Badinyaa, since its inception, has been playing “a pivotal role” in the area of health, music, culture, education, and heritage.
“Our aim is to continue contributing our quota towards national advancement,” he said.
Mr Darboe said the association is involved in community services notably at the Brikama Health Centre as they have conducted numerous cleansing exercises there.
Alieu Sonko, officer-in-charge of Brikama Health Centre, said many women and children die during childbirth or soon after, and it is the responsibility of all to find a solution and “that is what you people ([Badinyaa) are rightly doing”.
