The African Travel Association (ATA) will hold its 35th Annual Congress in The Gambia, scheduled to start from 17the through 20th May 2010 in Banjul.
The congress offers a big chance for The Gambia to showcase its tourism products and promote The Gambia as a tourist destination.
Edward Bergman, the Executive Director of ATA , said The Gambia has made amazing progress in the travel and tourism industry. He said this was done through building public and private sector partnerships and that the government has created the conditions for the private sector to invest in the industry.
ATA is an international body representing African travel organizations and is based in New York city in the United States.
ATA Gambia Chapter is working in close collaboration with the Gambia Tourism Authority to coordinate efforts to make the event in the Gambia a memorable one.
