Armed Forces share plunder with Abuko Utd in GFF Women league

Abuko United on Saturday came from behind to draw 3-3 with Gambia Armed Force in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation Women division league game played at the Independence stadium in Bakau.

Ndey Beyai opened the scores for the soldier girls in the second minute of the game from a superb free-kick to give her side an early lead in the game.

Mam Kumba extended the lead for Armed Forces in the 15th minute of the game after capitalizing from defender Kaddy Malack’s blunder to dash Abuko United’s hopes of coming back to their feet.

Fatoumata Jobe pulled one back for Abuko United in the 37th minute of the encounter from a fine finish thus the first half ended 2-1 in favour of the soldier girls.

Upon resumption, Abuko United injected in fresh players to bolster their attacking options and as a result Fatoumata Jobe alias small leveled the scores in the 51th minute following a cross from Sally Ceesay to make it 2-1.

Sajor Sanneh brought Armed Forces back in front after 65th minute of the game before Mariama Sanyang levelled matters for Abuko United in the 74th minute of the game to share the spoils.
