Preparations
are in high gear for the upcoming APRC national youth rally scheduled for 29
September through 3 October 2016 in Basse.
Speaking
to the press on Sunday at the APRC Bureau in Bakoteh, Babou Gaye Sonko, APRC
national youth mobiliser, said about 50,000 youths are expected to attend the
rally.
“This
is going to be the biggest youth convergence ever in the country,” he
said.
“Youth
from all the regions of the country are set to take part in the rally.”
Alhaji
Lamin Camara, regional youth mobiliser for KMC, said the rally will serve to
bolster the solidarity of youths with the ruling APRC party.
He
said as part of the camp, they will also be engaged in a massive tree planting
exercise, while in Basse.
