In what
could be described as another bumper opportunity for the restoration of African
culture and Gallery in the country, AfricAfriq Cultural Entertainment Centre
has emerged.

The Point Entertainment desk last Tuesday, The CEO of AfricAfriq, Mr Aziz Willan, said
the African culture and lifestyle need to be restored and preserved. He said
AfricAfriq has a very rich culture that can attract many people in the world.
According to Aziz Willan, AfricAfriq cater, for both national and international
drinks with a spacious garden and a cafeteria building in real African style.
He said it is a multipurpose cultural entertainment centre that has a library
collection of books in different languages but based on African writing. There
are also books from African American authors.
Mr Willan
further explained that video shows of African movies and documentaries are also
available in AfricAfriq. He said private meetings, dinners, lunches and
seminars are all available in
AfricAfriq
including internet services. "AfricAfriq becomes a focal point for all that
represents good African hospitality and entertainment," he said. The aim and
target, according to Aziz Willan, is to provide the best and highest facility
and services in The Gambia and sub-region to all visitors to the facility. It
entails the real African style of games in the form of scrabble, chess,
monopoly, drafts, Ludo and Crazy eight. This Excellent art Gallery is owned by
Mrs Jabu Fenda Singhateh and managed by Mr Cham. AfricAfriq recently celebrated
the election victory and inauguration as the 44th President of the United States of America, of Barack Obama who is the USA's first African American president.
The celebration witnessed extensive entertainment ranging from traditional
music to documentaries on the historic struggles made by African-Americans
towards their liberty especially on the Black movement.
